Journey to the Dumpling, a beloved Elk Grove dumpling restaurant, is set to expand its culinary empire in the Sacramento region. According to a recent social media announcement, the restaurant will open its third location in Folsom's Palladio shopping center next year. This new outpost will join the existing restaurants in midtown Sacramento and Elk Grove, solidifying the restaurant's growing presence in the area.
Owner Yvonne Tan revealed to ABC 10 that the Folsom location will be a 5,000-square-foot space, opening in the second half of 2026. The restaurant's signature menu, featuring steamy xiaolongbao soup dumplings, noodle plates, soups, and dim sum options, has already garnered a loyal following in the region.
Journey to the Dumpling's expansion comes after a successful debut at Elk Grove's Laguna Crossroads in 2016, followed by a midtown Sacramento location in 2023, which opened after a three-year delay. This new Folsom location will further solidify the restaurant's reputation as a go-to destination for dumpling lovers across the Sacramento region.
