Hello,

I just purchased and installed a BAKflip MX4 tonneau cover. So far I like the cover but am also wanting a bed rack. So far I am considering BillieBars which say they are compatible with the cover but was wondering if anyone has other solutions that I should consider.

I've gone down a voodoo rabbit hole stalking you the past few days. I have the mx4 on a shortbed.

I was hoping I could open the mx4 with the rack on so I assume the 18" is the only one that could maybe swing it. Will I be able to pen atleast the first fold with the 18"?

You would be able to open the last fold a little bit, but the shape of the rack would prevent you from completely flipping it over, regardless of the rack height.

The BAK Revolver can be completely rolled up even with our 10" rack, if you didn't mind changing covers.

I'm frightened of wives.

You could also go the Retrax route, but you lose a little bed space because of the canister.

I'm sure you get lots of fan mail from the wives around here lol

if I changed covers I'd go with the retractable. Had one on my Silverado and really liked it.

We have a couple Retrax covers in our fleet. The Raptor has one, and we just got one for the Ranger Tremor. They're great covers.

On our Tacoma, we switch back and forth between the BAK Revolver and a Softopper. The Revolver is pretty good, but I think it's a little pricey for what it is.

We have an MX4 for our F-150, but again, you can't flip it open.

We got a cheap ass Tyger cover on Amazon for the Gladiator, and honestly it's not bad!!

Speaking of the Gladiator, we did some testing of our new rack system last night:
